The icare Lung Screen unit offers employers a subsidised respiratory health monitoring service for their workers at risk of exposure to asbestos, crystalline silica or other hazardous substances.

The complete health monitoring examination takes 20-25 minutes and is completely painless.

A respiratory health monitoring examination includes:

  • a lung function test
  • a respiratory medical examination by a doctor

an x-ray by a radiologist (if needed)The results are returned to icare dust diseases care to be checked by a respiratory physician.

A health monitoring report is provided to the worker and the employer is notified of any workplace injury. Health monitoring records are stored securely, and can be accessed in future if required.
